The Xceed FTP Library for BizTalk Server is an AIC (Application Integration Component) for Microsoft's BizTalk Server.
When acting as an AIC, the library integrates with the BizTalk Messaging Pipeline. The library serves as a transport for a BizTalk Messaging Port and can simultaneously send files to multiple organizations or applications via the FTP file transfer protocol.
The underlying networking code that implements the FTP protocol in the Xceed FTP Library for BizTalk Server was written using Microsoft's Winsock-2 networking API and uses special Windows NT/2000/XP features, such as I/O completion ports, in order to provide optimum file transfer throughput, least use of ressources and excellent scalability.
Physically, the Xceed FTP Library for BizTalk Server is contained in the same DLL as the Xceed FTP Library ActiveX component. Only users that have registered the Xceed FTP Library for BizTalk Server can access the BizTalk-related functionality and obtain technical support.
