N-次元配列

N-次元配列を扱うことができるようになりました。
また、多くの関数がN-次元配列を扱うことができるようになり、
複雑な解析においてすっきりしたデータの受け渡しができるように
なりました。

構造体配列

構造体はマトリックス、ストリング配列等、各種のデータタイプの
集まりを複合体として定義し一つのシンボリック名で参照できるように
することによりプログラミングを簡略化します。
GAUSSではさらに、構造体を配列化してあつかうことができます。

For current GAUSS 5.0 customers, there is no cost to download this
release. Those who have current Premier Support can download it from
their site. Those who do not have Premier Support can download the new
release from our website from the home page; below the heading "When
You Feel the Need for Speed," there is a sentence "Download the
software here," and the word "here" is a link to download GAUSS 5.0 for
Windows. For GAUSS 5.0 for UNIX users who do not have Premier Support,
let me know and I can provide ftp download site information.

Post Release Enhancements


Beginning with kernel revision 5.0.8, it is possible to index and
dereference structure arrays in the same expression.

st1[45].st2[3,5].m[.,3] = abs(st3[5,6].st4[6,7].x[.,5]);

Beginning with GUI revision 5.0.8, the command window behavior is now
more intuitive and customizable. Users of the DOS version of GAUSS
should find it more familiar.

New Features and Enhancements


* N-Dimensional Arrays

The flexibility of N-dimensional arrays is now available in GAUSS.
A wide variety of functions and operators work with these arrays
providing the GAUSS programmer powerful new methods for handling
complex analytical problems.

* 2D Arrays of Structures

Structures considerably simplify programming tasks by allowing
the grouping of complex sets of matrices, string arrays as well
as other structures under a single symbol name. GAUSS now permits
2D arrays of structures, significantly adding to the power of
programming with structures in GAUSS.

* Over 50 new functions

* User configurable output buffering in the Windows GUI

* New Thread-safe functions allow you to take full advantage of
multiprocessor hardware using the GAUSS Engine:

- SQPsolveMT, a new thread-safe function for solving nonlinear
programming problems

- gradMT and hessMT for numerical derivatives of general functions
